1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. When you use our AI tools, we process the messages you submit for analysis. We do not sell your data to third parties.

  • Account Data: Email, name, authentication provider (Google, email/password).
  • Usage Data: Feature usage counts, subscription status, timestamps.
  • Message Data: Messages you submit for rewriting or analysis are processed by our AI and only stored if you enable "Save History" in Settings.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device information (collected automatically).

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve our AI communication coaching services.
  • To manage your account and subscription.
  • To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
  • To respond to support inquiries.
  • To send important service updates (not marketing, unless you opt in).

3. AI Processing

Messages you submit are sent to OpenAI's API for processing. We do not use your messages to train AI models. OpenAI's data processing terms apply to their handling of this data. Messages are not retained by OpenAI beyond the processing window.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information. Data is hosted in the Asia-Southeast region.

5. Your Rights

  • Access: You can view all data we hold about you in your Settings.
  • Deletion: You can request complete account deletion by contacting support@halalcoach.app.
  • History Control: You can disable message history storage at any time in Settings.
  • Data Export: You can request an export of your data.

6. Cookies & Analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. If you opt in to "Analytics" in Settings, we collect anonymous usage signals to improve product quality. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

7. Children's Privacy

Halal Coach is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18.
